2026 CHWs Across the Lifespan Summit

Community health workers, public-health professionals, and partner organizations will gather for a summit focused on health across the lifespan. The program includes sessions on maternal and infant health, child and adolescent health, young adult health, older adult and end-of-life care, and dementia screening. Eduardo Sanchez, MD, MPH, FAHA, serves as keynote speaker, with a panel of community health worker and instructor speakers from partner institutions.

The summit is hosted by the American Public Health Association Community Health Worker Section with partner institutions including UT Austin Dell Medical School, McKesson Institute of Community & Health, Texas AHEC East Piney Woods Region, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and South Central AHEC. Registration is $15 and includes breakfast and lunch. The official flyer advertises 1.5 CEUs for Texas-certified CHWs and CHWIs; CHES/MCHES credit approval is pending.
