HPA legal

Terms of Use

These Terms explain the rules for using Healthcare Professionals of America websites, accounts, event services, and organizer tools.

Effective September 17, 2026 · Version 2026-09-17

1. Your agreement with HPA

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Healthcare Professionals of America (“HPA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, signing in, registering for an event, or otherwise using HPA, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must provide accurate information and be legally able to enter this agreement.
  • You are responsible for protecting access to your email, phone, one-time codes, devices, and HPA account.
  • You may not impersonate another person, create a misleading profile, or use someone else’s contact information without permission.
  • Tell HPA promptly if you believe your account or sign-in method has been compromised.

3. Events, organizers, and attendance

HPA helps people discover, register for, host, and manage professional events. Some events are operated by HPA, while others are operated by independent organizers. Event details, availability, admission decisions, schedules, continuing-education eligibility, refunds, and venue rules may be controlled by the organizer and may change.

You are responsible for reviewing the event listing and organizer terms before registering or attending. HPA does not guarantee that an event, speaker, credential, benefit, or opportunity will meet your expectations.

4. Payments and refunds

If an event requires payment, the price, fees, and any available refund terms will be shown during checkout or in the event listing. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Except where law requires otherwise, refunds follow the policy stated for the event or the organizer’s documented decision.

5. Communications

HPA may send transactional messages needed to authenticate you, confirm registrations, issue tickets, manage orders, protect accounts, and deliver services you request. Marketing, newsletter, and event-text choices are managed separately where required. Message and data rates may apply, and replying STOP to an eligible text ends future nonessential texts from that sender.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use HPA to:

  • break the law or violate another person’s rights;
  • harass, discriminate against, threaten, defraud, or harm another person;
  • upload malicious code, probe security, evade access controls, or disrupt the service;
  • scrape, copy, resell, or exploit HPA data or content without authorization;
  • send spam or use attendee information outside the purpose for which it was provided; or
  • publish content you do not have the right to share.

7. Content and intellectual property

HPA and its licensors retain their rights in the service, branding, design, software, and original content. You keep ownership of content you submit, but give HPA a nonexclusive, worldwide license to host, reproduce, display, format, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the service or the event for which it was submitted.

8. Third-party services and links

HPA may link to or integrate with organizers, payment processors, messaging providers, maps, registration sites, and other third parties. Their services and policies govern your use of their products. HPA is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, or conduct.

9. Professional and medical disclaimer

HPA is a professional community and events platform. It is not a medical provider, emergency service, employer, credentialing board, or source of medical, legal, tax, or employment advice. Do not use HPA for emergencies or as a substitute for qualified professional advice.

10. Availability and disclaimers

We work to keep HPA useful and secure, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, event attendance, business outcomes, or the accuracy of information supplied by third parties.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HPA and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

12. Suspension and termination

We may limit, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect people, the service, organizers, or HPA; to investigate misuse; or to comply with law. You may stop using HPA at any time.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service or law changes. We will post the revised version and effective date here. For material changes, we may ask you to accept a new version when you next authenticate.

14. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be directed to the HPA team through your chapter or the support channel provided in your account.
