HPA legal

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information HPA collects, why we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.

Effective September 17, 2026 · Version 2026-09-17

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use HPA, we may collect:

  • account and profile information, such as your name, email address, phone number, profession, photo, city, and chapter;
  • authentication and security information, including verified contact methods, one-time-code activity, passkeys, two-factor settings, and legal-acceptance records;
  • event information, such as registrations, tickets, attendance, check-ins, waitlists, answers, feedback, continuing-education claims, and organizer interactions;
  • transaction information, such as orders, prices, discounts, refund status, and payment-provider references; and
  • technical information, such as IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, referral information, timestamps, logs, and security events.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • create, authenticate, and protect accounts;
  • provide event discovery, registration, ticketing, check-in, payment, feedback, and education features;
  • operate chapters, organizer workspaces, member directories, and community features;
  • send service messages and communications you request or separately choose to receive;
  • provide support, analyze performance, prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and improve HPA; and
  • comply with law and protect the rights, safety, and security of members, organizers, HPA, and others.

3. How we share information

We share information only as reasonably needed to operate HPA, provide requested services, and support the purposes described in this policy. Recipients may include:

  • event organizers, chapter teams, and authorized event staff who need attendee or registration information to operate their events;
  • vendors that provide hosting, email, text messaging, authentication, analytics, storage, payments, fraud prevention, and customer support;
  • government authorities, courts, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary for safety, security, rights protection, or legal claims; and
  • a successor or transaction participant in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the service.

By connecting with HPA, your contact information may also be shared within the HPA family and its affiliated companies, including MyMedDi.ai, CuraConnector.com, and LOP Network. We keep it in the family—and promise not to be annoying.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

4. Public and organizer-visible information

Information you choose to publish in a member profile, organizer page, community post, or event listing may be visible to other users or the public. Event organizers and their authorized teams can access information about people participating in their events. HPA limits these views by role and organization, but you should submit only information appropriate for that context.

5. Cookies and similar technology

HPA uses cookies and local storage to maintain sessions, remember preferences, protect accounts, understand usage, and keep the service working. Browser settings can limit some of these technologies, but blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in or other features from working.

6. Your choices

  • Review and update available profile and communication settings in your account.
  • Use unsubscribe links in eligible emails and reply STOP to eligible text messages.
  • Choose whether optional profile information appears in public or member-facing areas where controls are available.
  • Contact HPA to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable, subject to identity verification and legal retention requirements.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide HPA, maintain security and transaction records, meet organizer and event obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. Retention periods vary by record type and purpose.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your devices and sign-in methods and notify HPA if you suspect unauthorized access.

9. Children’s privacy

HPA is intended for adults and professional communities. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact HPA if you believe a child submitted information to the service.

10. U.S. privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to appeal a privacy-request decision. We may need to verify your identity and may retain or deny a request where permitted by law. HPA will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as HPA, our practices, or applicable law changes. We will post the revised version and effective date here. Material changes may require a new acknowledgment when you next authenticate.

12. Contact

Privacy questions and requests can be directed to the HPA team through your chapter or the support channel provided in your account.
